Diving
For those interested in undersea life and in taking the plunge, the Red Sea is
an excellent holiday spot with its varying depth of water, its numerous coral
reefs, the variety of its species and the abundance of its colorful fish. Yet,
if you don't dive, snorkeling and glass boats excursions are another
alternative. We offer half-day and full-day diving and snorkeling packages to
the various coral reefs.
For divers, Naama Bay and Ras Mohammed have the best diving sites and reefs, a
main tourist spot. Besides, Nabq, located 35 Km from Sharm El Sheikh, is known
for its abundance of mangroves and has recently been added to the areas under
the protection of the National Parks of Egypt. Egypt's first marine national
park, Ras Mohammed is located approximately 25 Km southwest of Sharm El Sheikh.
» Dahab
located approximately 100 Km northwest of Sharm El Sheikh, is still considered
to be one of south Sinai's most treasured diving spots. It is famous for its
golden beaches and deceptively deep diving sites, such as the Blue Hole, Canyon
and the Lighthouse.
» Hurghada
located 600 Km south of Suez, hosts a variety of tourist villages and diving
centers for its mild climate year-round lends itself to all sorts of marine
sports and activities. The most popular snorkeling spot in Hurghada is Giftun
island.
» Safaga and Qusseir
are also known for their surf and coral reefs.
» Marsa Alam
is known for its offshore coral reef and is a favorite spot for snorkelers,
scuba divers and fishermen.
Safari
» Desert Safaris
in four-wheel-drive vehicles have developed the sense of the "desert
experience", those nights beneath the stars and days spent cruising the
desert wilderness, enjoying clear skies, a campfire and maybe also some
solitude.
» Experience Desert Safari
It is easy to arrange day or overnight trips into nearby desert whether taken
by four-wheel-drive vehicles, camel safaris or even hikes on foot. But an
expedition into Egypt's Western Desert is a real challenge (The great Sand Sea
south of Siwa or the distant highlands of the Gilf Al Kebir and the Gebel
Uweynat). Because of the extreme summer heat, desert expeditions usually take
place between the months of September and March.
